Stage 5 began as usual at 8am. I wake up at 5am to prepare as it takes me quite a long time to prepare in the morning, and part of it is because I am trying to heat up as it is very cold in the morning and trying to get my food in a while before the race starts and packing a backpack that never feels it is getting lighter even though I eat all my 2000 calories per day.
I met up with the lady from Chile ahead of checkpoint 1 and got there before the noon cut off. There are cut off times for each checkpoint. We went through a quite swampy and rocky section until checkpoint one. Best part about the checkpoint is that you get sprayed with a water bottle

Stage 4 was quite long 47.something km and all I could think about was to recover as I arrived 5 min to 8pm after almost 12 hours on my feet and needed to prepare for the next day

I came in after almost 10 hours, finally completing 36,9km! The awesome rock collection continued for some 6 km and then it was the big event we all waited for! Crossing the San Pedro river
