Ahhhh, yes. “Pocket time (by running) when you can.” Brilliant strategy from day 1, Iris. I remember it well and tried to heed your advice when I could. You’re right though that by day 4, the course no longer seemed to include many filling stations

Great post-race tips Iris. Also interesting to read how your strategy changed for the Atacama Crossing vs. RacingThePlanet: Patagonia. Have actually never heard / thought of the hot pocket (I don't even know what it is, but can guess and is a really really good idea)!

I have pages of notes, thoughts, random scribbles that I am trying to interpret now that I am home - and as promised, sharing here.

Hey Iris - I have been clocking you everyday and so excited to see you doing so well. Have put word out to Myke the photographer to get some more photos of you - stop avoiding him. Hahaha. Keep up the great work - the Long March will be over when you read this and you'll be in serious need of pizza. It'll tastes better than the ones in Patagonia (!!!!).

For those who have been there, the pack, and repack, and repack again to make sure it all fits, and that you remembered everything can seem like the most challenging part of the whole race!
